Midsummer Magick

I am sure that you have all watched my Litha video by now which although goes on a little bit of tangent, I hope shows you that Litha is simply the celebration of the sun being at its greatest height throughout the year.

In magickal terms what this means is that it is the best time of the year to use the sun in rituals, the sun has its own power, magick and strengths, mainly, healing, caring, and bringing light to the darkness.  So I wanted to do a group ritual with you all today in order to harness this energy and bring the power of the sun and its warmth and light into your life.

Now not many of you may know this but there is a spirit of the sun.  I suppose that this spirit would be most likely aligned with an angel in old speak.  They have the care of the sun and set it upon its path nurturing it to being its benefits to the world.  This great spirit has gone by many, many names throughout our human history

The Romans called them Apollo, The Egyptians Ra, the Celts, Lugh, Hindus Saurya, Norse, Sunna etc etc. I wanted to introduce you to the spirit that I know as Fritha – and angel type of spirit who has custody of the sun.  They set the suns course to nurture and warm this earth.  I have worked with Fritha for many years and (I sense her as predominantly female) They were at the dawn of time Lucifer – the bringer of light and it is from that spirit that the devils and demons of the world originate. As far as I understand it, Fritha and Lucifer fought but neither could kill the other, Fritha took over the bringing of the sun, and Lucifer created his own universe filled with what we call demons.  These entities ‘feed’ from human negative energy – we are their source though, so it is in their interests to promote those feelings of negativity that they feast upon.

Someone asked me if they thought that certain world leaders were actually demonic in nature.  This hugely interested me, as I had never considered this before, however it seems none are demonic, they may be controlled by demons, but they are not demonic in themselves.  The Humans of the world would not accept them as a leader if they were – there would be the ‘uncanny valley’ and we would not allow them to rule. 

The ritual I want to do today is one to help fill your lives with positive energy and abundance.  And for this we are going to need to review our current auras. 

“I cast this circle, to help me connect with my aura.”

Using the stretched arm technique, let us all feel our auras and see what colour they are today.  Ginny will help all feel and see the auras of them and those around us. Write down three words to describe its feel and colour.

Today in honour of Midsummer we are going to perform a group ritual to bring the aura of the sun into our own, adding positivity and abundance to our lives. 

You are going to imagine that there is a line of connection directly between you and the sun, you are going to reach up to the sun to establish this connection and then ask the sun itself to bring its energy to you. 

Imagine a beam of golden sunlight descending upon you and see it entering through the crown of your head

Feel it flowing through your body.

Through your heart.

Through your stomach.

Through your feet.

As one let us all say the following together:

“The Sun shines upon us

Its blessings flow through us

Its abundance grows within us

May we receive with gratitude

May we share with generosity

May we walk in the light.”
